The Poetry Collection: "Tsuisai Shishū" (Chasing My Wife) In the 1990s, a Japanese man and a Chinese woman began a relationship. Over the course of a year, the man, consumed by his feelings for her, wrote a poem every day and sent it to her. Twenty-some years after their marriage, the husband was surprised to discover all of his handwritten poems, carefully transcribed by his wife, in a drawer of her dressing table. Moved by this discovery, he took the manuscripts and, after a long and heartfelt process, compiled them into a single volume of poetry. He then presented this very collection to his wife as a gift for their silver wedding anniversary.
